Dear community,
Many of you had the pleasure to know our wonderful collaborator, Solas Shale Lange. This week, he’s begun his travels into the afterlife and beyond. We want to celebrate the richness of his passion and amazing mind, in cherishing his memory. Anthorna thrived because he volunteered to be a part of it, in the very first stages of its creation, all the way through until we had to close. He was actually the reason Anthorna physically existed, and the main person who encouraged the apothecary. The story of Anthorna started when Sol played riveting set at a house show benefit, put on by our founder. It sent shockwaves through the intimate crowd, and the word “Anthorna” came to the founder in a dream shortly after. Solas directly inspired the decision to find a place where that beauty could happen more often. We are so lucky that he laughed with us, spent late nights at Anthorna making crafts and doing hair makeovers, ranted about literature, tended to our friendships and community bonds, and all around gave the people around him a better life. Couldn’t have done it with out you, and will always keep creating with you in our hearts.
For those who would like to attend the vigil this evening:
We are meeting 7pm at Newton Lake Park in Collingswood, NJ.
It is about a 15 minute drive from central Philadelphia, and is close to the PATCO train from center city.
There’s a stone gazebo on the property that will house the vigil, we used to spend time at as kids.

We are hoping to have other opportunities in the near future to gather and grieve together.
