Join us for a special evening on Saturday, November 15th from 6-9 pm at the Mt. Airy Art Garage, 7054 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19119, for our second annual PFS/XFS Mashup, featuring Churches & Trains, Jesse Gimbel, Matthew W Charles and the Michael Spear Duo. The show is a collaboration between the Philadelphia Folksong Society's Musical Artists Cooperative (PFS/M.A.C.) and the folk and folk- adjacent artists of the Xtreme Folk Scene (XFS). The show is a lively and inclusive demonstration of what the future of folk music will look and sound like. Tickets: $15 Genl PFS ($10) MAC ($10), cash only at the door. BUT we’re incredibly excited to announce their replacement: Primordial Soup, the solo project of none other than Rhys, President of the Xtreme Folk Scene! 🎶

Rhys brings a raw, deeply heartfelt energy to every set — a perfect fit for the Friday night magic of XFest. Catch Primordial Soup Friday around 8 PM and show some love for one of the core forces behind making this whole thing happen 💚

We are thrilled to announce the official X-Fest 2025 Compilation Tape! This special release features tracks from many of the incredible artists performing at this year’s festival — giving you a sneak preview of the amazing music you’ll experience at X-Fest 2025.
