As a former resident and long time lover of New York City, I'm excited to watch the new administration going in, led by the very smart and savvy, very charismatic Zohran Mamdani. Pope Francis was a kind and very wise leader, one who cared deeply about important matters; taking care of the poor and needy, the environment, trying to help people treat each other better. One didn't need to agree with all that he stood for to admire who he was and what he accomplished. His visit to Philadelphia was an enormously important event for so many. Here is the poster I made at the time, trying to capture his charming smile along with his august presence. RIP
