“Odds in the Absurd” is now open at Park Towne Place ()

Join us to celebrate the opening of Odds in the Absurd in the galleries at Park Towne Place Apartment Homes!

This event will feature a tour of each gallery and insights from the participating artists, starting at the North Tower. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

“Odds in the Absurd” examines the irreverent works by six InLiquid Members in connection with the Dada movement surrealism movement, in which absurdity, chance, and a sense of mystery do not pose the question ‘Is this art?’, but instead affirm it.

Featuring Lisa Baird (Lisa Baird), Alex Bard (Alexander Bard), Howard Brunner, williamCromar, Jake Jacob (Jake Jacob), and Kellianne McCarthy (kellianne mccarthy), Odds in the Absurd is characterized by its playfulness, experimentation, and commentary, demonstrating the continued relevance of Dada’s boundary-pushing approach more than a century after the movement emerged.

What happens when artists throw out the traditional rules of creativity?

✨ Odds in the Absurd, presented by InLiquid, brings six contemporary artists together for an exhibition inspired by Dada — the movement that challenged what qualifies as art.

🎭 Unconventional paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media creations.

Last call! We're entering the final public hours to view "No Other Place to Go," open at InLiquid Gallery thru October 17!

Curated in collaboration with Katie Tackman (), “No Other Place to Go” is an exhibition
bringing together five artists who use photography to document environmental change, confront ecological loss and spark conversations about the realities of changing climate.

Featuring works by Anita Allyn (), Richard Boutwell (), Laura Krasnow
(), Kaitlin Pomerantz () and Emma Ressel (.ressel), “No Other Place to Go” considers photography as both evidence and expression. Through images informed by scientific data, historical records, disappearing landscapes and shifting ecosystems, the artists examine not only what is changing, but how climate change affects memory, perception and our relationship to the natural world.

This exhibition is curated in conjunction with , which is supported by .

Programming at InLiquid is supported by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund .

Thanks to all who joined us to experience "No Other Place to Go" at the reception last week!

This week is your LAST CHANCE to see the show at InLiquid Gallery! We're open Wednesday – Saturday from 12-6, with appointments available outside those hours.

Featuring works by Anita Allyn (), Richard Boutwell (), Laura Krasnow (), Kaitlin Pomerantz () and Emma Ressel (.ressel), “No Other Place to Go” considers photography as both evidence and expression. Through images informed by scientific data, historical records, disappearing landscapes and shifting ecosystems, the artists examine not only what is changing, but how climate change affects memory, perception and our relationship to the natural world.

Together, the artists’ works demonstrate how evidence and emotion can operate as complementary forms of knowledge, helping audiences understand environmental realities not only through facts and data, but through lived experience.

This exhibition was guest curated by Katie Tackman () in conjunction with the 20/20 Photo Festival ().
