#61 in the countdown comes from Los Angeles. We don't have a lot of records from that area, so please let us know if you find any posters from there or other places in California. Ennis talks about the technical set-up of this poster that makes it so effective.

TOMORROW is WPA Poster Day at the SIS 30th Anniversary Pop-Up. Join us to learn about the posters made by out-of-work artists during the Great Depression hired to spread the word about FDRs New Deal in the 1930s & early 40s.

See the "New Deal Film Festival" of reels from that era, a mini-exhibit of posters, and try your hand at screenprinting - an art form pioneered by the WPA Poster artists!
