When I created Penny & the Wishing Well, I was deeply intentional about every detail of Penny, especially her features. As a Black girl with Black girl features, you’re often made to feel like those features aren’t enough, aren’t “beautiful enough.”

But let me tell you something: You are perfect just the way you are.

This is your reminder that you don’t need a tiny nose or smaller lips to be more beautiful. Your full lips, wide nose, textured hair, and radiant skin are stunning because they make you uniquely YOU.

Penny is here to remind us all to celebrate our features unapologetically. She stands as a reflection of the beauty, and power in every single one of us.

❤️ So today, remember: Your beauty isn’t just valid—it’s breathtaking.
