James Oliver Gallery A contemporary gallery celebrating its 20th year! Glow Day (a neon glass art show) On view 9/12-11/7

James Oliver Gallery (JOG), which opened its doors in late 2006, aims to be a leader in the presentation of contemporary art in the Philadelphia area. An appealing and lively forum in Philadelphia's Center City, the gallery looks to shatter rigid notions of artistic presentation. Featuring exciting modernist furniture and beautiful views through 19th century fourth floor windows, JOG creates a relaxing environment where patrons are encouraged to convene, socialize, and discuss art. James Oliver, an established painter and musician, oversees all aspects of the gallery. His personal style synthesizes the modern and the minimal, creating a clean aesthetic in his own artworks.

We’re excited to announce our upcoming Artist Talk featuring Alissa Eberle and Eve Hoyt! Please join us on Thursday, October 29th 6-8:30pm.

Alissa Eberle is a Philadelphia-based neon glass artist whose work explores notions of time dissonance, malfunction, and the intersection between the manufactured and natural world.

Eve Hoyt’s work combines hand-bent neon with found objects, vintage trinkets, and artifacts, creating pieces infused with whimsy and nostalgia.
