rs. Alumni of the Brind School can be found on Broadway, leading regional theaters, film, television and throughout the entertainment industry. Philly audiences know and respect Brind School alumni like Jen Childs (Founder and Artistic Director of 1812 Productions), Pete Pryor (recognized as a Lunt-Fontanne Fellow and recently named Associate Artistic Director of People’s Light and Theatre) and Ben Dibble (recipient of the F. Otto Haas Award as an emerging theater artist in 2006), while national audiences will recognize Ana Ortiz (from TV’s Ugly Betty), KaDee Strickland (Private Practice) and Kelli Barrett (Mr. Popper’s Penguins, opposite Jim Carrey, and Broadway’s Baby, It’s You). Brind School faculty member Forrest McClendon was recently nominated for a Tony award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role for his acclaimed appearance in The Scottsboro Boys.
