A little Inis Nua history is returning to the stage.

Jared Michael Delaney has been part of the Inis Nua family since our early years, appearing in Crazy Gary’s Mobile Disco, Trad, Skin Deep, The Hand of Gaul (which he also wrote!), Penelope, and Dublin by Lamplight.

Nearly two decades later, we're thrilled to welcome him back for A Gambler’s Guide to Dying.

When Nathan steals a rare coin from a local kingpin, he finds himself facing an unexpected consequence: has he been cursed? Every time he goes to sleep, a night passes for him, but a year and a day passes for everyone else — his loving wife, his betrayed best friend, and the furious gangsters hot on his trail. This “spell-binding, bittersweet and thought-provoking" (Binge Fringe) solo performance is all at once a crime caper, a fairy tale, and a moving meditation on love.

At our season announcement, director Meghan Winch shared what excites her about the play and her directorial debut.

Told from the perspective of his grandson, and written by one of the playwrights of our 2025 hit SQUARE GO, this funny and tender tall tale is a sure bet.
