Drama Auditions for "Dear Edwina, Jr"
Chalfont Musical Youth Players is holding auditions on Fri, Nov 17th at 6:30pm and/or Sat., Nov 18th at 1:30pm. Please have an audition song prepared ( Must have a Karaoke track or sheet music to be considered for a lead role. Please do not sing any songs that are on the radio. A piano player will be provided. Be prepared to read scenes from the show. (script will be provided). Please dress comfortably for there will be a dance audition as well. This program is for children from 2nd thru 8th grade. Rehearsals are held on Tues and Fri nights and Sat afternoons. The cost for this program is $85.

As for our Arts and Crafts and Cooking classes those will begin next week. Cooking will start on Monday 9/25 and Arts and Crafts will start Thursday 9/28.

The first of our fall activities will begin this week with our Nutcracker Doll making class. This class is open to boys and girls of all ages and will be held every Friday beginning this Friday 9/22. Remember this class is FREE! Feel free to stop by or call the office for more info.

If you have a child interested in either cooking or arts and crafts, we have activities for them as well. Our children's cooking classes are for kids ages 7-13 and are held on Mondays from 3:30-5:00pm right in Chalfont's own kitchen area. The fee for this program is only $4 per class.
Our arts and crafts classes are for children ages 6-11 and are held at Chalfont on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm. The fee for this program is only $3 per class.

Another one of the great programs we offer is our fantastic drama program. This program is for boys and girls in grades 2 through 8. The great part about this program is that every one gets to be in the play we only hold auditions to determine what child fits which role the best. Rehearsals are held Tuesday and Friday nights, as well as Saturday afternoons. The cost for this program is only $85 for the first child in a family and $60 for each additional child, and includes a DVD of the play as well as a cast T-Shirt. There are 6 performances which are usually held in the beginning of March. Audition dates have not yet been set but for more information or to be put on the mailing list feel free to contact the office at 215-685-9398.

With summer coming to a close we wanted to take time to post about some of our programs we run during the school year. The first of our programs, which is also our largest in the dance program. We offer classes for children from age 3(must be potty trained) through high school. This year our open registration for new families will be held Saturday September 9th at the playground from 12pm-2pm. The cost of this program is a $15 registration fee per dancer, and $140 per class which covers the dancers weekly lesson and the end of year recital.
