I like this photo, was taken almost 9 years ago! Fred Thomas, Lorenzo Boston and me. Mike Shola The Ripple Road Band bassist took this picture. We were a bit drunk , we just played a great show and a few shots of whiskey were right in time.

We had only ten days to promote Ian Maksin's "Cello for Peace" performance on June 10. Many of you have missed it. Now you have an opportunity to see a part of his performance and mark your calendar for October 21st when Ian is back to Philadelphia https://fb.watch/ePCde0pRTc/

Call for artists
Multicultural Arts Exchange is getting ready for the new Fall Season of Arts and Culture that we now call “The Season of the Muses.” It will start on August 26th and conclude on December 16th.
This will be our first full schedule of events since the pandemic, and we are growing. MAE will utilize three different venues for three distinctive performance series.
We have locked dates for the main series, “Classical Music: The Rebirth,” that will be run on the 3rd Friday of each month at David Gvinianidze Arts and Music Center. All events will start at 8 pm. The dates are:
August 26th -
September 23rd – already booked
October 21st – already booked
November 18th
December 16th
We are looking to fill the three dates that are currently available.
Performances are paid, and below is the series concept to consider before submitting your proposal.
When most people think of classical music, they tend to think of boring orchestral music played in a fancy concert hall for older people, elitists, or nerds.
• We present classical music in its most authentic chamber format in small to medium auditoriums.
• We create an Intimate, spiritual experience that focuses on forging an emotional connection between musicians and diverse, adventurous, and curious audiences instead of strictly intellectual.
We are looking for virtuoso solo musicians and ensemble groups that:
• Love to cross the barriers between different cultures and genres of music.
• Know how to engage the audience using their storytelling skills and great sense of humor.
• Will not be distracted by people clapping when they feel like it.
• Have a relatively small (no more than 50) but growing fan base.
