In a performance classroom at the Community College of Philadelphia, the concept for evolution Theater was born. Connie Martinez and Megan Coyle both had a love for Theater both stage and film. One an actor and performer who had a love for the stage in the purist sense for the more traditional and one a Broadway musical enthusiast who had a passion for everything behind the scenes(but could delive
r a comedic monologue like gangbusters). Together they uncovered their desire to create and entertain. Their friendship led them to come to the decision that while Philadelphia is a thriving community of large and small theater companies, it's a difficult community to infiltrate and become a company member. So, they started their own and could not be more excited to put together their first production. In the development stages currently, they are working to put together a group of talented writers, actors, singers and all integral behind the scenes players to help bring the dream of performing in Septembers Fringe festival to life. evolution Theater is committed to providing performing opportunities to the beginner actor, singer, writer as well as performers of any age who may have caught the bug later in life. The journey from inception to performance is one that without doubt will change you, enrich you and make you excited for the next project. We're about building a rapport, a family not only within the circle of creative talent but with our audiences. We're a grassroots company who are currently running on excitement, adrenalin and the support of our friends, family and Theater lovers!
