10 Things That Never Happened @ Primetime Poker
1.) TWO VENUES ON THE SAME NIGHT.
It was close to happening when Primetime almost acquired OPC, but we never wanted to hurt the quality of our original games.
2.) AUTOMATIC SHUFFLES
At a hefty price tag of $599 each, plus having to run electric to each table, they were in my wish list on Amazon for 18 months.
3.) JACK DANIELS PRIMETIME T-SHIRT
Due to the ridiculous price it cost to mass produce black t shirts (to give away of course) the Jack Daniels design was my personal favorite Primetime concept logo.
4.) THE 100 PLAYER TOURNAMENT
Our personal best was 71 players of the Gary/Lissa Farewell game. Still an night I'll never forget!
5.) PRIMETIME PLAYER CARDS
Just like in the casinos, we were planning on having a loyalty card with comp meals and gift card winnings loaded onto the card to use at any venue. Again it was a $1000 investment and Richie didn't have enough time in the day to do bookkeeping.
6.) PRIMETIME POKER POCKET CAMERA/ WEB SERIES/ TV SPOT
Concept was going to be install RFID chips into the tables and cards to simulate the pocket camera ($1500 investment) Then each week film a show upstairs at Buffalo Billiards with the winners from that week. Stream the show on YouTube as well as airing on Temple's TV Network. Temple's film department would produce the show each week.
You don't understand how close this came to happening!!
7.) TOC 6
Sorry Guys, kind of out of my control
8.) SENDING A PLAYER TO THE WSOP MAIN EVENT
Collecting a fee from each play nightly ($2) and it going into a fund to send someone to the Main Event in a years time.
This collection and $10,000 tournament were all so against the Liquor Control Board's Regulations that it was impossible to do.
9.) 2 DAY EVENT
It would have been such a hassle to have 30 people commit to a event that would spand over multiple nights.
10.) CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT.
Only the TOC winners and BiAnnual winners for Primetime's Elite Player.
