Identifying & Dealing w/ Our Triggers Is An Essential Aspect Of Maintaining Our Emotional Well-Being.
1. Mindfulness Meditations Help Develop Awareness Of Your Thoughts & Emotions. When Triggered, Take 3-5 Deep Breaths, Observe Your Body, & Acknowledge The Triggering Thought w/o Judging It (Or Yourself). This Creates A Mental Space Before Reacting. (Im Still VERY Much Working On This lol)
2. Journal To Record Your Emotional Responses & The Situations What Lead Up To It. After A While, You'll Start Analyzing The Patterns & Over Time, Start Identifying The Common Themes. This Self Reflection Can Help You Understand Your Triggers Better & Develop Coping Strategies.
3. Clearly Define & Communicate Your Boundaries In All Your Relationships & Situations. For Me, Learning To Say No & Asserting Myself Has Been A Game Changer For My Self Esteem Journey.
4. Create A Safe Space. Retreating To A Physical Or Mental Space Where You Feel Safe & Secure, Allows You Time & Comfort To Regain Composure Before Reacting Or Addressing The Trigger.
