The page is purely for prosperity sake. Conceived in 2012 by Gus Gscheidle, 1fiftyone gallery + art space is a space founded by, and for artists. A home for the experimental and the raw. 1fiftyone brought innovative art to Old City for four years until finding its new home in Kensington. Hey all- 1fiftyone space is saying goodbye for now. We hosted our last event last night; the showing of the film, Us, Forever Ago at 1fiftyone space by Irina Varina. This decision comes with mixed emotions. But I'm happy to start some new personal projects. I feel it's time to close the door on this venture. Thanks to all the artists, and audience members for being part of space here in Kensington, and our first space in Old City! I truly love the visual and performing arts community in Philly, and will continue to support in other ways in the time ahead.
