We are excited to introduce our Music Director for this semester!

Ramsey Reyes is a collaborative pianist, vocal coach, and conductor. Fluent in five languages, Ramsey has largely focused on coaching languages with singers. Ramsey has worked at a number of opera organizations, including the Academy of Vocal Arts, Opera North, Opera Orlando, and others. He was the music director of Mousaverse, an opera company operating in the Metaverse, where he casted and directed their productions of Cavalleria Rusticana and Ariadne auf Naxos. Currently Ramsey is the music and choir director at St. Agatha-St. James Church, an apprentice conductor for the Philadelphia Ballet, an assistant conductor for the University of Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra and Soli Deo Gloria Chorale, and a piano instructor at the University of Pennsylvania. He also is the founder of the Virtú Institute, a summer program for middle and high school students in California. Ramsey holds degrees from Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.

We are excited for you to meet our director for this semester!

Danny Walsh is an Educational Director and Choreographer who has contributed to over forty productions across Philadelphia, New York, and Delaware over the past five years with students ranging from early childhood through those pursuing graduate degrees. He is a proud alumnus of Long Island University (Post Campus), where he earned his BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre, with studies grounded in physical and experimental theatre. Currently, he serves as Haverford High School’s Theatre Director and works seasonally with Upper Darby Summer Stage, as well as their year-round traveling performance group, The Shooting Stars. “A grown-up theatre kid,” Danny specializes in producing professional-level theatre while prioritizing the community, collaboration, and joy that first drew so many of us to the arts as children.

Calling all professional directors and music directors in the Philadelphia area!

The Penn Singers are hiring our creative team for the Spring 2026 semester! We are seeking professional directors with a passion for ensemble-driven musical work. This contract will run from January 20th* to April 11th. All applications are due by 11:59 PM on January 2nd!
