🤎✨ **YOU'RE INVITED!**

Dear Doll Family,

We've created something special, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

**The Black Dolls Matter® Asé Community** is a space for connection, creativity, healing, cultural memory, and care.

For years, we've gathered around our shared love of Black dolls. Now, we're creating a space where those conversations can deepen, where stories can be preserved, knowledge can be exchanged, and meaningful relationships can grow.

This is more than a doll community. It's a place to honor the hands that create, the ancestors who inspire us, and the generations who will carry our stories forward.

**There are two ways to belong:**

🤎 **Asé Membership — FREE**
Join the conversations, share your creativity, and connect with our growing community.

✨ **Asé Stewardship — $22 annually**
Help sustain the circle and the creative work it makes possible, with a special stewardship gift in appreciation.

**Membership is free. Your presence is what matters.**

We invite you to enter the circle, introduce yourself, and make yourself at home.

**Two Ways to Belong. One Circle of Care.**

Care is infrastructure. Joy is resistance.

**Welcome Home. Asé!** 🤎

Every Sunday in October, make room at the table. 🖤

BLACK FAMILY DINNER

Gather the family. Cook something good. Put the phones down. Tell the stories. Ask the questions. Laugh loudly. Listen to the elders. Listen to the young people, too.

This isn’t about what’s on the menu or how fancy the table looks. It’s about the simple, powerful act of sitting down together.

Our families deserve time to reconnect, share our stories, celebrate our culture, and create memories across generations.

Every Sunday in October, let’s have dinner together.

No registration. No organization required. No special occasion.

Just family. Food. Culture. Connection.

Set the table. 🖤

What a moment.

Thank you, Fashionista.com, for featuring Doll Dressing at The Museum at FIT — and for including Black Dolls Matter® in your coverage.

To see a Black Dolls Matter® T-shirt I created for a doll represented in this exhibition — and now photographed and acknowledged by Fashionista — is deeply meaningful.

Nearly three decades after my time at FIT, the work has found its way back home.

Grateful to Dr. Colleen Hill and The Museum at FIT for making space for this history, this conversation, and this work.

❤️🖤💚🤎

“Doll dressing” is no passing fad.

Grateful to be mentioned by Black News in its coverage of the 2026 WHIMSY Black Doll & Art Show in Detroit.

This November, I’ll have the honor of receiving the Legacy Award — a recognition that means so much because it comes from a community that understands the cultural importance, history, and power of Black dolls.

Thank you to Sandra Epps and the Detroit Doll Show for this honor and for continuing to create space for Black doll artists, makers, collectors, and the generations who come after us.

Detroit, I’ll see you in November. ❤️🖤💚🤎
