🌆 FROM HO CHI MINH CITY TO LUCKY DAGGER
Jacqui Rose () learned to tattoo in Ho Chi Minh City while teaching ESL. Next came a Western-style street shop in Phnom Penh. Now the San Diego native owns Lucky Dagger Tattoo in New Orleans' Lower Garden District, open since 2020. American traditional is her lane, with black and grey, dotwork and florals in the mix. In 2022 she started NOLA Cans 4 Food, which recycles aluminum cans to buy groceries for the city's community fridges. Her shop is fun and easygoing, with zero pretension.

🖋 SACRED GEOMETRY BUILT TO WRAP THE BODY
Stickswell () tattoos sacred geometry, dotwork and ornamental design. She's been at it for 8 years, and her focus is large scale work. Each piece is drawn to follow the natural curvature of the body, so the symmetry travels with the muscle and bone underneath it. Thousands of dots, one flowing layout. Bring a big idea and a big patch of skin.
