Are you a theatre artist wanting to create work that surprises, disarms, and bewitches audiences? Do you like to dare onstage, pushing physical and verbal expression to their limits? Are you a theatrical innovator looking for a community of like-minded colleagues, craving a space where you're provoked to take risks and develop a unique performance language you can carry into the world?

Consider joining the next class of the Pig Iron/Rowan Devised Performance Program. We are a home for creators, collaborators, physical poets, and clowns. We train future artistic leaders who shatter norms and disrupt the status quo. We do all of this and more within a joyful, rigorous, 2.5 year program.

Info session and audition dates are available now for theater-makers interested in joining us for Fall 2027! Links to apply available in bio.

JANUARY SESSION 2027: January 5-16

In this two-week workshop, participants will learn the process of creating an ensemble-devised work of theatre through Pig Iron's tried-and-true generative exercises and creation approaches. This devising workshop emphasizes developing original material, physicalizing characters and theatrical ideas, structuring group improvisations into finished pieces and the role music and rhythm play in theatrical creation. Participants will work on taking material developed through improvisation and turning it into pieces that are precise, full, exuberant, and moving. The workshop culminates in an invited showing of short original pieces created during the two weeks.

⭐ Apply by October 15 and pay in full (pending acceptance) by November 1: $1050
⭐ Apply by November 15 and pay in full (pending acceptance) by December 1: $1200
⭐ Payments after December 1: $1350
