Pig Iron’s Summer Session (July 20—August 7, 2026) invites you to laugh at the absurdity of our world while discovering your own presence through three foundational physical theater territories: the Neutral Mask, Character Masks, and the Clown. This intensive is ideal for professional performers looking to hone their skills as well as students interested in expanding their performance vocabulary. ROCKFACES & OTHER STRATA continues tonight!

This past March, our first year cohort traveled to the southwest of South Dakota to see and experience the spaces, peoples, and histories contained within that epic landscape.

From this exploration, this cohort has put together a new work of theatre, composed from the fragments, images, conversations, and impressions of this one of a kind place.

Congratulations to the Pig Iron/Rowan MFA Class of 2026!

It is time to watch these daring, sensitive, wise artists launch themselves beyond their grad school walls and into the professional sphere where their artistic gifts are necessary and sharp-edged. JOIN US TONIGHT AND TOMORROW

This past March, our first year cohort traveled to the southwest of South Dakota to see and experience the spaces, peoples, and histories contained within that epic landscape.
