My name is Jay Harris and I am a 20
year-old realism artist currently enrolled in the
Studio Incamminati atelier partnership program
with Rowan University. I primarily work with oil
paints, but have been expanding my artistic
process into both graphite drawing and acrylic
painting. I tend to specialize in still-life and
currently I am striving to create art that is
expressive in my interest of color theory, with
focus greatly on the implementation of bright,
loud and clean colors. Using acrylic alongside oil paints, many of my personal projects such as ‘The Unicorn’ as seen in most of my personal branding encompasses my usage of ‘loud’ color. My work has been shown in The National Art League’s 90th annual juried exhibition in October 2020; specifically my still life painting ‘Electric Blue with Brass’
Most recently, I have had the pleasure to present my body of work at the 2021 Rittenhouse Square Fall Art Show as a student exhibitor, and through this opportunity have begun to plan more exhibitions that will be coming next year.
