One of our favorite submissions (although they are all our favorites) is this Zoom video conference illustration by local artist, Sarah Kaizar ()! We’ve been doing a good deal of zooming too, and this one gave us a chuckle.

hi friends! I hope everyone is cozy, safe, and healthy where you are! Please check out this coloring book I helped make for The Center for Art in Wood, which features illustrations I created of pieces from the Center's museum collection. It's available as a free PDF you can print at home. (& just sayin... it would make my nerdy heart explode to see this in action -- please share photos!! ) Follow the link in my profile — look for the coloring book.

I’m so happy and honored to have my work included in The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education's () upcoming exhibition “Assemblage,” celebrating 20 years of environmental art at the SCEE! This is an amazing place doing important work, and I’ve been happy to be in the mix with this crew since my “In Danger” show back in 2013. (2013!! yow!) “Assemblage” will be on view January 30 - March 21, 2020, please stop in and check it out if you’re in the neighborhood! Opening reception January 30 🎉 .

Our artworks have often drawn from the wildlife in the surrounding area. In our upcoming exhibit Assemblage, works by Jennifer Hynes, who captured our wildlife clinic in a photo series, and Sarah Kaizer, who created pen and ink drawings of endangered species, will be featured. Mark your calendars for our opening reception, January 30 at 7-9pm to see more art at the Schuylkill Center from the past 20 years.

HIKER TRASH: It’s an off-beat, diverse community that travels the nearly 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail, the oldest long-distance footpath in the country. Sarah Kaizar captures, through her intricate pen-and-ink drawings, the character of the trail, its landscape, and its ubiquitous shelters, as well as the array of hikers who find respite beneath those roofs. Based on the experiences of her 2015 thru-hike, Sarah recently released this collection of drawings in the form of a book titled Hiker Trash: Notes, Sketches + Other Detritus from the Appalachian Trail, published by Mountaineers Books.

GALLERY Land Collective is a conduit for the representation of thoughtful explorations focused on landscape. We present the work of landscape architects and designers, ecologists, sociologists, anthropologists, artists, and others whose work informs the breadth of the discipline. It is a collective consciousness that raises landscape to the highest ideals. We invite your participation.
