Not every space changes your life because of the music, the vendors, or the aesthetics.

Sometimes it’s because, for a few hours, you get to look around and realize you’re not the only one dreaming bigger than your current circumstances.

That matters.

Thank you to everyone who makes spaces like this possible. Community isn’t something we stumble into—it’s something people choose to build, protect, and pass on to the next person.

Here’s to building more rooms where people feel seen, inspired, and free to imagine what’s next. ❤️

Gayborhood lore used to be messy hookups, lost phones, and somebody’s wig ending up three blocks away.

Now it’s “wait… who’s calling the cops?”

That’s one hell of a plot twist.

We miss Level Up.

Proof that you can take the man out of the church (institution) but you can’t take the church (body of Christ) out of man. That’ll preach!!!!

The older I get, the more I realize “lemme throw something on” means something completely different depending on who’s saying it. 😭

Some people throw on a hoodie. Some of us accidentally produce a full presentation.

Fortunately (or unfortunately)… this is what it means over here.

Last night I learned something I genuinely didn’t know was even possible: police can be hired for certain off-duty assignments. That sent me down a rabbit hole.

If businesses in our own LGBTQ+ community are paying for the police presence we’ve spent months questioning, then we need a serious conversation about where our money is going and who these decisions are supposed to protect.

We’ve watched people say they feel over-policed. Now I’m left wondering: why are we expected to financially support businesses that are contributing to the very environment so many community members have been speaking out about?

If this is how it works, the community deserves TRANSPARENCY.

The community keeps asking the same question: “Why are they here?”

Whether people see it as routine policing or something more, it’s a conversation that comes up over and over again. At some point, it’s worth listening to why so many people keep asking it.

Personal style is what happens when culture becomes wearable.

Some people wear trends.

I prefer wearing conversations.

If you look long enough, every outfit tells you where somebody’s been.

Culture has never asked for permission.

Neither have I.
