Last artwork of 2025. Got to hibernate in the studio for this one. “Lover’s Eye (With Glass Beads and Moonstone Tear)” acrylic on canvas. Wanted to play with the idea of reflected light and I had a lot of fun with this one. (A lover’s eye is a miniature, hand-painted portrait of a single eye, popular in 18th-century England as a secret token of love or remembrance, often set in jewelry like brooches or pendants, with the wearer's identity kept private by depicting only the eye, sometimes surrounded by pearls or other jewels.)

Live painted another hand and ghostly silk moth for last weekend. The heat made it a struggle and I ran out of a few paints, but it was still a great experience and I think I achieved making the moth look a little transparent. Thank you to everyone who came and visited!
