2020.

It’s thrown me for a bit of a loop. I have been SO fortunate that this year has kept me busy with a day job that I love, in the midst of everything going on in this world. My business has taken a little hiatus as I focused on work, trying not to think about the world too much, cuddling and training my new puppy, actively doing what I can to help my little part of the world, house hunting (which has been mostly sh*tty), my relationship as we tackle WFH and change, and REST.

But I’m thinking its time to rear things up again with ANYA. It’s somewhat an opportune time, but its also somewhat late. Today is Small Business Saturday, and I have not added a damn thing to my shop since before March of this year. But, I’m offering 10% off today AND asking that you be patient with me over the next two weeks as I slowly release items for the remainder of the holiday season and beyond.

D A Y 4 2. Feelings below.

More and more, I’m settling into the realization that this is life for the foreseeable future. At times I feel so free in quarantine, away from expectations and responsibilities and judgement. And other times I feel so confined, waiting for the days I can enjoy a good meal, a beer garden, a beach. At the end of the day, I’m lucky to be a creative and healthy homebody.

Yesterday, PA announced that the stay at home order will not be loosened until there are less than 50 new cases (per 100k people) over 14 days. Right now, Philadelphia is nearly 400 cases per the same criteria. I will stick this out in solidarity for my community, but the likelihood that this is truly the new normal, not just a catch phrase for the past 60 days, weighs heavy on my heart.

With that, I’m still creating and still sourcing. New product is up on the site and ready for shopping for those of you that need a pretty little pick me up. I’m talking mudcloth pillows, brass candelabras, and amber glass apothecary jars, people. (Music to my ears. Anyone else?!) I’ll highlight them individually over the next several days; link in bio to shop now.
