🎟️ Tickets are on sale for Lunar Retreat, performing September 10th - 20th in the 2026 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

🌕 Inspired by the gradual distance growing between the Earth and the Moon, Lunar Retreat is a multi-sensory performance installation. Audiences are invited to wander, witness and reflect on the ways we move through care, loss and transformation - both individually and collectively.

🎧 Guided by prompts on headphones, audiences experience gentle invitations, individualized activities, and group ceremonies as well as opportunities to engage along their own chosen path and move at their own pace. Lunar Retreat opens a space to connect with the shifting rhythms and cycles of our planetary bodies and reflect on our deep evolutionary ties to the ocean and the moon, reminding us that we are interconnected with the natural world.

🔥 Hot take: The performing arts industry is incredible at creating transcendent experiences — and terrible at supporting the humans who make them.

🤔 Think about it. We celebrate the final product — the standing ovation, the breathtaking lift, the moment the whole audience holds its breath — but what about the infrastructure behind it?

📝 The contracts that actually protect artists. The producing models that center creative vision over bottom lines. The advocacy that ensures performers aren't just surviving between gigs, but thriving.

✨ That's the work I'm passionate about. It's not always glamorous, and it doesn't get a curtain call, but I believe it's the foundation that makes everything else possible.

🫂 When artists have real support, real advocacy, real partnership — the art gets bolder. The stories get braver. The performances hit different.

I am so honored to have recently been voted onto the board of !

This is an exciting step in my career and I'm looking forward to bringing my performing arts and administration experience to this new organization. Seriously GO CHECK THEM OUT; the reparative justice work they're trying to do is wildly important and is bringing healing through the arts to a new level.

One of my career highlights was working on the US Tour of Scott Joplin's Treemonisha: a musical reimagining last year with and my dear friend and mentor . I am beyond excited to share that our ground breaking production was included in a Scott Joplin episode of PBS' Great Performances that aired last night, April 17 2026.

To have this important work by an all star Black creative team uplifted and memorialized in such a public way brings me a kind of pride I've never felt before. Thank you to the hundreds of people that have touched this production.

I highly recommend watching the entire segment as it contextualizes the artistic excellence and deep social barriers that Joplin encountered in his life, but if you're pressed for time please at least watch the whole segment on treemonisha beginning at 45:10.
