I took a break from my latest drawing to brainstorm new ideas that hit me. Sometimes I want to work on all of them at once rather than finishing one piece at a time. Just can’t stop the creativity once it hits.

I’m grateful and deeply moved to share that I will be taking part in an artist talk where I’ll be speaking about one very personal piece — a work created in response to a traumatic moment in my life.

This artwork carries a part of my story, one that was difficult to live through but meaningful to express. I’m thankful for the chance to talk about the emotions, healing, and intention behind it.

Holding on to Hope

This piece was created out of one of the darkest seasons of my life. I awoke one morning unable to see from my right eye. Not long after, a tingling started in my toes and slowly climbed my legs until I could no longer walk. In that place of paralysis and brokenness, when my body felt like it was giving way, God held me. Jesus became my strength and my hope, and through His grace I was fully restored—able once more to walk and to see.

The cracks in this drawing speak of the fragility and weakness I endured, while the flowers symbolize God’s steadfast grace and the hope He planted in me. Even in the deepest night, His light broke through, and from the pain something beautiful was born. This work is my offering of gratitude—for His goodness, His healing, and the transformation He worked within my heart and life.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the Model for this drawing.

Praying for you that you will get better. I know God will carry you through because He carried me. He has never disappointed. He never will.

"Back to the source" is a pencil drawing that reminded me of how important bees are. I found this amazing account of and just watched these fascinating videos of how these precious bees are getting saved. All of a sudden, a picture came up in my mind. You see the final result here. :)

Also for everyone living in the Philadelphia/ Bucks County Area: produces amazing honey. Please go and check them out, they really inspired me a lot in this project!

Really enjoyed not being on social media really. I went back to the media I started with: graphite
I forgot how wonderful it is to work with pencils and the smoothness that comes with it, not to forget the wonderful detail you can put into a drawing, which is not always possible on a canvas. Can’t wait to share the finished result!

Missing the full Artroom. I just loved walking in there and looking around in the morning. It is definitely a blessing to have them hanging at the exhibition but also sad that I don’t see them every day now 🥹
