Hello! I was recently abruptly let go from my job, a financial loss that I did not plan for. I have a few debts I've been paying off and without steady income they will accrue a lot of interest and put me further in debt. I'm hoping to cover the costs of my debts while I'm in a bare bones budget till I get back on my feet. If you know me and have gone to events I've planned you know that my work was pretty integrated into my life and that worked hard and really cared about moving internationally. I will find what's best for me and am looking forward to it but I'm definitely reeling so send me some love and check in on me... Any support is appreciated. Here are ways you can help if you can't donate:

• Share share share! Ask others to share, tag them in a post and ask them to share

• If you have a decent following or a following that is geared towards supporting mutual aid funds, post my funder to your timeline or let me invite you as a collaborator so that it shows on your IG grid too

• Reach out to folks individually who may have wealth or surplus in income to redistribute

• Check in periodically to see where my goal is at, if it's at a stand still give it a boost and get others to bump it as well

If you CAN donate:

• Get someone to match what you send, if you send $25 make sure you find at least one other person to do the same. And pass on the instruction to that person as well

• Pool funds on your own and send in one lump sum to the funder

Next Pound Cake is Tuesday September 22nd at Chai Nashta 💘💘💘 pound cake is a monthly support space for fat black q***r folks. Come craft and chat, or just hang and do whatever! Bring what you want to the space, be it convo or a book to share 📚 We will meet from 6pm till 8ish. Kn95 required! There is a few steps to get in, working on locating a portable wheelchair ramp and will update is that's secured. $5-$10 suggested donation. Hope you can make it!

UPDATE!!! My family member is safe and sound in a shelter and getting much overdue care and rest. She's doing a lot better and starting to come home to herself. The road is long. Would still like to reach this goal so she has some extra cushion. I'm really thankful and proud of her. Please keep sharing and sending good thoughts her way!! Hello! Urgent ask for a family member, please donate and share.

Text reads:

Hey y'all a family member is in urgently trying to leave a domestic violence situation. She is currently posted up at a hotel for a few nights but beyond that will likely end up sleeping in her car which we obviously want to avoid. Her body is stressed to the point that she is experiencing symptoms of pre-menopause. Without a safe space and some sort of regulation in her routine she is at risk for a severe manic episode.

She's currently waitlisted for a couple shelters but in the meantime we want to secure as much as we can financially so she will be able to move into a new place come June. Please please please share as far and wide as you can and donate if you're able. I am also hoping to secure monthly funds for her to help sustain her getting on her feet.
