This has been on my mind a lot lately so let’s talk about it.

I feel more at peace accepting that photography has bought me frustration, pain, sacrifices, and all these negative emotions in general.

Some, because my computer is on her last limb but anyway.

I realized that it’s okay for me to feel this, and that creating doesn’t always look like me happily waiting 5-10 minutes for photoshop to open up, or sitting on one photo editing for hours because I want it to be the best photo that I can make it at 3 in the morning.

The things you actually give a f**k about are hard and can bring pain and suffering at times, or a lot of the times really.

It doesn’t mean that you should give up but a reason really to keep going because it matters to you that much, that you are willing to endure that pain to accomplish whatever it is that you set yourself out to do.

Creating is f**king hard and takes a lot of time and I’m okay with that, and all the good and bad that comes with being a creator because I get to do what I love everyday.

For every photo I’m finished editing, every happy client I had, and every community I have been loved, supported, and accepted in makes it all worth it.

After all, my negative emotions / experiences had made me the person that I am today, and a better photographer.

Firstly, huge shout out to .visuals and for putting this photo walk together! It really does mean a lot being that I just came to Philly a 3-4 months ago and had trouble finding other creatives / artist to connect, collaborate, and create with. I look forward to supporting the many more photo walks that are upcoming💚

Also thank you so much for everyone who let me take photos of them. I’m so grateful to be able to meet all of you guys and hope to collaborate again in the future💚

I took my first lightning 101 class with a WHILE back and just got to finish editing. I’m in a stage now where I want to start exploring my own individuality and style in photography than what makes a perfect photo. So in other words, some weird s**t. Thank you for providing this free event to introduce to me to a new skill that is pushing me to learn even further! Also big thanks to the models you guys are all super awesome and I hope we can see + collaborate again in the future!
