Here’s the deal: this song is so important to me. I wrote it years ago for a production of Our Town, and wrote it with not only George and Emily’s sweet soda shop romance in mind, but my love Aidan Moore, my dear family and friends old and new, and the simply divine pleasures of building a world together with my cast mates and daily acquaintances as well. There’s nothing more meaningful to me than keeping track of the little details that make these seemingly ordinary experiences so special… in my eyes, that’s what love is.

Noticing the beauty of the littlest things the way I notice you. It opens the mind, the heart, the capacity to give and receive love… and what could be better than that?

I know you all reading this have your own meaningful little moments, whether it’s a hug from a grandparent, your daily small talk with a barista at your favorite cafe, the bunny you always see in your yard, or the way that one blanket makes you feel.
