"Square One at 60" was presented at last year's event on August 30, 2021.

Comedy writer Steven Kunes didn’t think it was so funny to find himself starting over at age 60, nor was there any Hollywood ending in sight.

Discovered at 26 by Norman Lear, and following three decades as a network TV writer, Kunes had a noteworthy self-destruction that found him homeless and forced to rethink, and redefine, the term Square One.

Now 65, Mr. Kunes currently produces "Over My Dead Body," an original comedy series that features interviews with important figures from our history and culture -- without mentioning they just happen to be dead.

The authenticity and candidness of this speaker will inspire anybody starting over later in life.

A few months ago we received an e-mail from the mother of a high school student named Tejaswi Koduru (nickname: Teja) who suggested we consider her son for a TEDx talk since he developed an app that could help diagnose Lyme Disease. (You read that correctly.) As a matter of fact, Teja presented his invention to the folks at Johns Hopkins shortly after his mom contacted us. Not bad for a kid in 10th grade, eh?
