“We’re getting divorced”

is something I will never have to say.

Divorce will never be an option for my husband and I.

That doesn’t mean marriage is easy.
It doesn’t mean we never struggle, disagree, or hit hard seasons.

It means we chose commitment over convenience.
Communication over walking away.
Growth over giving up.

We entered marriage knowing it would take work, humility, forgiveness, and effort especially on the hard days.

Marriage isn’t about finding someone you never struggle with.
It’s about finding someone you’re willing to fight for, not fight against.

It’s so easy to say “get a job” when you don’t know the struggle of having to choose between feeding your family or paying your electric bill.

Come November families are about to lose the only saving grace they have with feeding their families.

There will be no more EBT,
and we don’t know when it will come back.

Did you know a lot of mothers who are on EBT is not because they don’t want to work? but it’s because their job doesn’t pay enough so they need help with paying for groceries and formula to feed their babies when this economy makes it almost impossible to live in.

There is a mother out there who relies on her EBT card because she’s barely scraping by,

There is a mother out there who can’t work because she has to stay home to take care of her child who has disabilities,

There is a mother who has to use her EBT card to cover formula for her baby because WIC doesn’t cover the brand her baby needs,

Do you know how much formula costs?
It costs a lot, and it’s not cheap.

This shut down doesn’t just effect mothers, this effect fathers, young people trying to survive on their own who have no one, families of every race and even the elderly who worked their whole life but can’t work now because they just physically can’t and they cant even afford a good retirement.

How sad is that? that we live in a country that food prices are through the roof and it makes it impossible to survive in and now the only thing that lessens the blow is being taken away.

No one should worry about putting food on the table for their family.

NO ONE.
