UPDATE: Gilleland Creek Pool is closed for the rest of the evening due to lightning in the area.

Today, we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, including members of the Pflugerville community whose sacrifices are memorialized throughout our City and at the Fallen Warrior Memorial in Pfluger Park. 🇺🇸

As a reminder, City facilities are closed today in observance of Memorial Day. Scott Mentzer Pool is open noon to 7 pm and Gilleland Creek Pool is open 1-8 pm. Active military members and veterans receive PFREE admission.

Trash and recycling collection will continue as usual. For water-related issues during the closure, please call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 512-990-6700. In case of emergency, call 911.

05/20/2026

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, Lake Pflugerville is open for public use. Your water conservation efforts continue to make a difference as we prepare for the next phase of critical water infrastructure improvements. This includes a two-week River Pump Station shutdown after the holiday to allow for waterline connections and system improvements.

During the shutdown, water levels will drop. We do not anticipate an impact on fishing or swimming, but visitors should use caution. Fishing piers will be closed if they become unstable and the boat ramp may become inaccessible.

We will continue to communicate changes in water levels and lake accessibility. Please keep in mind that water stages could be adjusted if lake levels or system conditions require it.

The chart reflects the conservation efforts of our water customers over the last 15 days and the positive impact the community continues to make as we prepare for this important next phase. The full water use chart is available on the City’s water restrictions website.
