In the mid to late 80's, Ben Bendele got caught up in the wonderful world of computers and early on realized the new and exciting innovations it was bringing to music and sound. Retiring as a Lieutenant from the San Antonio Fire Department after 29 years service, Ben teamed up with his son, PRCA rodeo announcer and master sound technician,Benje Bendele and was able to devote himself fulltime to exploring the technical advancements and innovations offered by the latest in computerized sound technology. Roughstock Rodeo Sound Production has the best Rodeo Sound and Music in the rodeo business. Their company specializes in computer generated sound and music with special effects at the touch of a button. Additionally, they have the equipment to fill any arena with concert quality sound. Ben has and continues to serve as Music and Sound Coordinator for such great rodeos as Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, Austin, TX; Central Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo; Chief Joseph Days Rodeo, Joseph, OR; Oklahoma State Fair PRCA Rodeo; Bell County PRCA Rodeo, Belton, TX; Lovington, NM PRCA Rodeo; Navajo Nations Fair and PRCA Rodeo. Ben also coordinates the sound and music for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Jr. Ben has also worked as Music Director at rodeos in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Ben is currently helping the Australian rodeos move into the 21st century with their rodeo music. However sound production is only one integral part of an all around rodeo performance. Ben works closely with the committees, announcers, clowns and stock contractors to ensure fans an ultimate rodeo experience. With over 750 PRCA rodeos across the country, Roughstock Rodeo Sound Production, LLC is ready to work with you to give you a performance second to none. In 2011 Ben will celebrate his 13th year as a professional rodeo sound director. He looks forward to each and every stop throughout another record breaking year in his association with the PRCA rodeo industry. Ben is a San Antonio, TX native, graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and attended Southwest Texas University. He was Honorably discharged from the US Navy. Ben is a Life Member and Past Director of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and Rodeo. He is a Director of the Miss Rodeo Texas Pageant and has served on the National Advisory Council of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. Ben is a past president and serves as a Director of the Walter Gerlach Livestock Show and is a past president and former Director of the Bexar County Jr. Livestock Show. Recently RRS has added the services of Charlotte (Charlie) McWilliams Rogers. She brings expertise in Business Accounting, Music design and control and Public Relations Management.
