🥳 Northern Michigan! We have made you proud! 🎻
Last night, the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra made its triumphant Carnegie Hall debut to a full house of about 540 attendees—earning standing ovations and three curtain calls!!!
🎉This incredible milestone officially marks YOUR orchestra's status as 1 of only 3 Michigan-based professional orchestras to have performed a formal concert on the iconic Carnegie Hall stage!
🎶Our MUSICIANS delivered a stunning performance featuring works by Milhaud, Dvořák, Daugherty, Bruch, and Michigan's own Anthony Patterson—who was right there in the audience to hear his piece, THE MATCH Concertante!
🎼Bruch’s DOUBLE CONCERTO, featuring internationally acclaimed violinist Dylana Jenson alongside Maestro Libor Ondras on viola, and conducted by David Lockington was nothing short of spectacular.
Huge congratulations to our musicians, heartfelt thanks to our founder’s Dr. Pattengale’s legacy, Maestro Ondras’ vision and leadership, our Carnegie campaign leads Matt Davis and Kathleen Davis, 150+ generous community supporters and partners, and over 50 incredible friends who traveled to NYC! This achievement belongs to everyone who believed in our dream. THANK YOU!!! We are grateful for our community! 🙌❤️
