We had a wonderful week this past week, beginning our third annual Choreographic Mentorship Residency! We’re so lucky to have Robin Pettersen and Richard Walters mentoring our students’ works again this year, AND Fernanda Yamaguchi of Madison Ballet teaching the students too! 🧑‍🩰

Next week, Richard will begin setting a brand new work on the dancers, as the student choreographers continue work on their pieces. All of these works plus an excerpt of Robin’s new work will be performed at our Informal Showing next Friday 9/4 at 7:00pm at John M. Hall Auditorium. The showing will be free and open to the public! 🌟

16 years ago, our Ms. Heather was awarded the 2010 Dance Teacher award (private studio category) presented by Dance Magazine in New York City!

We are forever grateful for Ms. Heather’s dedication and commitment to educating the next generation of dancers. The lives she’s touched in so many ways are nothing short of incredible. ♥️

💃 Finally, Saturday, August 22 is our final Graham100 performance, 7:00 pm at Bay View's Hall Auditorium!
The performance features two of Graham's iconic works: “Appalachian Spring Suite” (1944), and “Lamentation” (1930) as well as “Our Own American Document,” an original work of Peter's modeled after Graham's 1938 masterwork, American Document, which illuminates the rich history of the Little Traverse Bay area.
