Hi there! I have inquired some new friends on social media recently and thought I would introduce myself. I’m Amy Gruden the artist of all this blue coastal art! The most important thing to know about me is I am a lover of the Great Lakes and our beautiful state of Michigan! I have loved the lakes and beaches ever since I was a little girl and I have equally loved art for just as long. I have been creating pretty much my whole life. I love the color blue and use it in most of my art pieces. The coastal landscapes and northern Michigan is my inspiration for creating. I use resin, texture, mixed media, acrylic and oil paints to create my artwork. I like to use natural elements in my pieces from time to time such as Lake Michigan sand, Petoskey stones, shells and sea glass. I love to paint and am intrigued on all the different methods there are out there to add texture and depth to my artwork. I am obsessed with resin ocean waves, coffee and music! Like most artist I love art supplies and I have a desire to share my knowledge, love of art and creating with others. I spend my summers traveling to the west coast of Michigan for art shows and in my off time from that I teach workshops and classes in my Dundee, MI studio space. So if you like art, feel the need to learn something new or want to fill your soul with some creativity, come on and join in on a workshop or class. It is a fun and relaxing time amongst friends old and new.
