🌸 Bailey & Tyler 🌸

This sweet couple booked Highbanks when we were barely starting drywall and the building was still very much an active construction zone 🥹 Like so many of our early couples, they put an incredible amount of trust in us—and that will never be lost on me.

At the end of their night, Tyler and I stood in the kitchen doorway looking out over their reception and talked about where their journey with Highbanks started… and where we were standing now. Their wedding day. Their family and friends filling the space. Everything we had talked about all those months ago actually happening.

Talk about a full-circle moment 🥹♥️

This is definitely one of those couples I’m going to miss working with.

And their day was SO much fun 🌸 From the gorgeous florals and rose petals leading to the lake, to all of the personal little touches they worked into their day—including tiny Mickey jewels added to the girls’ bouquets that I somehow failed to get a picture of 🫠—it felt completely them.

Bailey & Tyler, thank you for trusting us before there was much here to trust. It has been such a privilege getting to watch your wedding go from plans made in a construction zone to this beautiful day surrounded by the people you love ♥️

Tomorrow, August 25, we’re opening our 2028 calendar FIRST to couples who have already toured Highbanks for a 2028 date! ♥️

2️⃣ Our Highbanks Decor Collection is LIVE! ✨ (almost… uploading will begin shortly!)

August 2024 → August 2025 → August 2026 🖤

Two years ago, we stood in a freshly cleared spot in the woods and talked about what we hoped would someday be here.

A year later, Highbanks was taking shape.

And today? These doors have already welcomed hundreds upon hundreds of people. Weddings. Reunions. Showers. Celebrations. Community events. Some of the biggest days of people’s lives.

That part still gets us.

We dreamed about the building. We planned every detail. We watched it come out of the ground.

But I don’t think we could have fully imagined what it would feel like once it was filled with people.

Three Augusts. One pretty incredible transformation.

And we’re just getting started 🖤

Austin and Madalin’s wedding yesterday was SO much fun! From start to finish, their day was full of love, laughter, and the kind of energy that makes us remember just how lucky we are to be a small part of these days.

We’ve made a few changes to the Bridal Suite lately… and we’re loving how it’s coming together. 🤍

A fresh new look, more comfortable spaces to gather, plenty of room to get ready, and of course one of our favorite parts—the view overlooking the ceremony site. ✨

And yes… the flower girl still has her own special chair. 🌸

A beautiful space for all those little moments before “I do.” 🥂

Highbanks takes on Florida. 🌴☀️

We traded weddings and work for sand and sunshine for a few days. 🤍

We’ll be soaking up the rest of our family vacation and will return all messages and emails on Monday!

This weekend was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Friday evening, we hosted a Celebration of Life for a family honoring someone they loved dearly. There were tears, laughter, hugs, and so many stories shared about a life that was well lived.

Saturday, we welcomed a family celebrating a baby who hasn’t even arrived yet. The room was filled with excitement, happy tears, and so much love for a little one who’s already surrounded by people who can’t wait to meet them.

One family gathered to celebrate a lifetime of memories.

The other gathered to celebrate all the memories still to come.

Different moments. Different emotions. Yet both centered around the same thing—love.

It’s easy to think of an event venue as simply a place where people gather. But weekends like this remind me it’s so much more than that. It’s where families come together to honor the past, celebrate the future, and simply be together through life’s biggest moments.

To both families, thank you for trusting Highbanks to be a small part of your story. It is a privilege we will never take for granted. 🤍
