Just like that another summer at The Cedar Box has come and gone! Like always these warm months seem to keep us on our toes! Chasing kids, canoe journeys, days spent with cruise ships at Ohmers Trail and lead us to the excitement of fall time here in Southeast! While things slowing down in some aspects we are reddy for the busy of full and getting back into the swing of things here at the shop!

From jewelry, fur sales, and arts we’ve got it all! For the locals were ready to stock you with all your winter king needs! And be on the lookout for some pretty killer sales!

I absolutely love this guy! Carved by local sculptor Jon Pust, this Polar Bear is carved out of Italian Alabaster and green soapstone. Someone has got to come buy him before I take him home!!!

It’s almost time for Celebration 2026! The Yaakw (Canoe) Journey starts in one month. As our captains and crews make their way through the breathtaking ancestral waters of Southeast Alaska they do so with the breeze and sea salt on their faces and grit in the souls and knowing they are paddling where their great grandparents did hundreds and thousands of years ago!

We have tradition Tlingit art including paddles and a carved replica of a traditional ocean going Yaakw (canoe). All available at the shop online at
