WHAT A FAIRY TALE!

Thank you to everyone that packed the house for our opening night of SHREK, JUNIOR! We told our stories…and will not soon forget this night!!

Shrek continues through MONDAY NIGHT and tickets are going FAST. The house opens at 6:30 and coming early means you get to spend time enjoying some local vendors and eats!! We are so excited to partner with:

Shrek is grumpy.
Fiona is tired.
Donkey has an earache.
Gingy has a tummyache.
Lord Farquad is "short" on patience.

Just kidding...everyone is fine...

BUT there is a storm blowing through Duloc, and out of an abundance of caution and an effort to protect our citizens and guests, we will be POSTPONING TONIGHT'S PERFORMANCE of Shrek,Junior at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.

We will be ADDING AN ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE on Monday, June 15th. All ticketholders to tonight's show will automatically have thir tickets moved to Monday's show, and tickets will also be on sale to the general public and available at the door. In the event that you are unable to attend Monday's added show, please contact Theatre in the Park to echange tickets for another show this weekend.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, and we hope to see you all this weekend AND during our newly extended run. While we hate to cancel tonight, we know that our fairytale will have a happy ending.

Shrek, Junior opens TONIGHT at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site Kelso Hollow Amphitheater.

This charming and hilarious tale of three friends discovering the importance of who they are runs this weekend only and features over 90 local performers.

You do not want to miss this chance to let your freak flag fly and spend a night under the stars with friends and family!

Doors open at 6:30 so come early to enjoy our pre-show marketplace featuring flowers, crafts, vendors and more! Pre-show promptly at 7:30 and a junior length musical still gets the family in bed before turning into ogres.

Tickets available online and at the door. We recommend arriving early to secure the best of our general admission seating.
