The Sonoma-Marin Agricultural Association (4th DAA) promotes and showcases agriculture while displaying the diverse talents, interests, and accomplishments of the residents of California. We're also host to numerous private events, ranging in size from 50 - 1,000 and home to many of our communities gems. Events like the Petaluma Music Festival, Lagunitas Beer Circus, the annual RIP City Riders Fundraiser and many, many more!

Meet Little Prince Wonder – the tiny performer with a huge heart! ✨👑🐾

At just 9 years old, this lovable Chinese Crested has already mastered the art of making people smile. Adopted from Phoenix, Arizona just one year ago, Little Prince Wonder now calls Los Angeles home, where he spends his days chasing cat toys, soaking up attention, and even starring in magic shows! With his signature tongue-out grin and confident little strut, he's impossible not to love.

But there's much more to this little prince than his unforgettable looks. Whether he's performing for children at local schools, bringing smiles to church events, or brightening community gatherings, Little Prince Wonder uses his unique charm to spread joy wherever he goes. His gentle spirit is proof that even the smallest dog can make a big impact. ❤️✨

This year marks Little Prince Wonder's first appearance at the World's Ugliest Dog Contest, and he's ready to work his magic on everyone he meets. Meet Poppy – the self-proclaimed "Chinese Crested/Gremlin" who's back and ready to charm the crowd once again! 💜🐾

Poppy may have been the only hairless pup in her litter, but she's always stood out in the very best way. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, she eventually found her forever home in Marin County, where she's become a fearless little cuddle bug with a huge personality and a heart to match. ❤️

Poppy describes her style as "chupacabra chic," with hair inspired by Andy Warhol, a beard worthy of a 19th-century president, and fashion tips borrowed from Master Splinter. When she's not showing off her latest look, she's hiding sticks, burrowing under blankets, joining nightly family howling sessions, or making sure no toddler snack goes to waste! 😂🦝

But beneath the wonderfully wonky appearance is an incredible purpose. Poppy is a psychiatric service dog, helping her mom manage anxiety through her calming cuddles and uncanny ability to make people smile. Whether she's comforting her family, making new friends, or putting her face against yours for an instant dose of calm, Poppy reminds everyone that love has nothing to do with appearances. 💕

This is Poppy's third trip to the World's Ugliest Dog Contest, where she previously captured 3rd Place—but more importantly, she continues to champion the message that every dog, no matter how unusual they may look, deserves love, acceptance, and a forever home. 🏆🐾

After all, beauty is much more than skin deep... even if your skin is as smooth as a baby elephant. 💜✨

Meet Bruce – the wonderfully wonky French Bulldog who's proving that perfection is highly overrated! 💙🐾

Making his World's Ugliest Dog Contest debut from Santa Rosa, California, Bruce is impossible to miss. With his lopsided ears, permanent underbite, fluffy lion's mane, and adorably crooked face, he leaves strangers asking the same question everywhere he goes: "What kind of dog is that?!" 😂

Bruce's story started with heartbreak but quickly turned into a happy ending. Surrendered by a backyard breeder at just six months old because he wasn't "meeting expectations," Bruce found the family that sees him for exactly who he is—a one-of-a-kind treasure. In fact, genetic testing confirmed he's 100% French Bulldog... just assembled a little differently! ❤️

Life with Bruce is anything but ordinary. He speaks fluent snorts, is famous for his championship-level farts, and has facial expressions that range from "deeply concerned" to "completely confused." But his greatest accomplishment? After finally mastering potty training, Bruce invented his own victory celebration—the legendary "P**p Zooms!" Every successful trip outside is followed by a full-speed victory lap around the yard while his family cheers him on like he just won the Super Bowl. 🏆💨🤣

Bruce reminds us that the dogs who don't fit someone else's idea of "perfect" often become the most unforgettable companions. Meet Jinny Lu – a little pug with a huge personality and an even bigger mission. 💕🐾

Jinny Lu's story began in the mountains of South Korea, where she was rescued from the dog meat trade before finding her forever home through Pug Rescue of Korea. Four years later, she's living her best life—and making people smile everywhere she goes. ❤️

Don't let anyone call her "the shy girl" anymore! Jinny Lu is famous for barking and "arguing" with her own reflection several times a day, putting on dramatic spinning, flipping, and squealing performances with her toys before immediately demanding cuddle time. She's equal parts comedian and sweetheart! 😂🐶

When she's not entertaining her family, Jinny Lu is an ambassador for rescue dogs. She visits elementary schools, hospice patients, and memory care facilities, helping spread an important message: every pet deserves a chance, no matter how different they may look. 🩷

This marks Jinny Lu's fourth trip to the World's Ugliest Dog Contest, and she couldn't be happier to be back! She loves everything this event represents and hopes this is finally the year she earns a trip to New York to share her favorite message with the world:

As fair season gets underway, we want to wish the very best of luck to all of the amazing exhibitors who joined us at the Spring Classic and are now headed into the Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa and the Redwood Empire Fair in Ukiah!

We know how much hard work, dedication, and countless early mornings you've put into preparing your animals. Now it's time to step into the ring and show everyone what you've accomplished. We're proud to have been a small part of your journey.

Meet Javier Baredog

Adopted from a Southern California shelter earlier this year, Javier is a one-of-a-kind mix of Xolo, Dachshund... and, according to his owner, maybe a crocodile that spent a little too long in the sun. With his long neck, tiny folded ears, giant amber eyes, and just a hint of scruffy hair, Javier has a look that's impossible to ignore. 🐊🐶

The best part? Javier has absolutely no idea he's unusual. He carries himself with complete confidence, loves chasing balls, shredding squeaky toys, wrestling with his sister Twiggy, and believes every snack is a basic right that simply belongs to him. 🍖❤️

More than anything, Javier brought joy back to a home that had grown a little too quiet. Now he's bringing that same joyful spirit to the World's Ugliest Dog Contest, proving once again that the most unforgettable dogs are often the ones who look a little different. 🐾✨

Meet Otto – proof that being different is something worth celebrating. 💙🐾

Otto may be one of this year's World's Ugliest Dog Contest contestants, but his story is one of resilience, determination, and heart. Born with a severe double cleft lip and cleft palate, he entered the world facing incredible odds. At just 10 days old, he arrived at rescue tiny, fragile, and tube-fed. Today, at two years old, he's thriving—and inspiring everyone who meets him.

This little Chihuahua mix has a face you'll never forget. With his bright, owl-like eyes, crooked grin, and wonderfully unique smile, Otto turns heads everywhere he goes. But his personality steals the show! Equal parts goofball and tiny diva, he loves to play, has plenty of opinions, and if you put on a harness and leash... he'll freeze like a little statue in protest. 😂🐕

A proud "foster fail," Otto found the forever home he was always meant to have. Now, traveling from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, he's making his World's Ugliest Dog Contest debut while representing every dog who was born a little different—and proving that extraordinary comes in all shapes, sizes, and smiles. ❤️🐾

Meet Pinky – one of this year's adorable contestants in the World's Ugliest Dog Contest! 🩷🐾

At first glance, people often ask, "Is that a pig?" 🐷 Nope! Pinky is actually a 10-year-old albino pup, mostly Chihuahua and Pomeranian, with big pink ears, patchy fur, and a look that's impossible to forget.

Pinky's unique appearance comes from a tough start in life. After recovering from a severe case of mange in a shelter, some of his fur never grew back. His sensitive pink skin means sunny days require sunscreen—and sometimes even a stylish denim hat or pink sun shirt! ☀️👒

When he's not soaking up attention, you'll find Pinky doing what he loves most: napping, convincing everyone he deserves another treat, searching for "treasures" (aka garbage) on walks, or joining foster dog hikes—where his favorite part is scrambling up rocky hills before heading back to the car! 🥾🐕

Traveling all the way from Redwood City, California, Pinky is making his World's Ugliest Dog Contest debut this year, and we can't wait for everyone to meet this unforgettable little guy! 💕🐾

The one and only Scooter—the 2023 World’s Ugliest Dog® Champion—is making his triumphant return to compete once again for the most coveted title in the dog world!

At 11 years old, this lovable Chinese Crested from Tucson, Arizona, has already captured hearts around the globe. Born with his hind legs attached backwards, Scooter was surrendered as a puppy and nearly euthanized. Thankfully, he was rescued by S.A.F.E., proving that every life deserves a chance.

Scooter learned to balance, walk, and even run on his front legs, never realizing he was any different. Today, he uses his wheels for longer adventures but still prefers his signature “scoot” wherever he goes!

His favorite things? Belly rubs, hugs, slurpy kisses, and making friends with every person, dog, and cat he meets.

Come cheer on this inspiring little champion at the World’s Ugliest Dog® Contest during the Sonoma County Fair on August 14 at 5:00 p.m. You just might leave with a slobbery kiss and a full heart. ❤️🐶

Born the tiniest of her litter, Zebuoodle has grown into a one-of-a-kind service and therapy dog with an even bigger heart. She has a gift for making people feel loved, whether she’s comforting someone in need, winning over children, or keeping watch over her four beloved pet gerbils.

With her bunny-cat-dog looks, soulful black eyes, and habit of “blowing kisses” with a sneeze, Zebuoodle is as unforgettable as she is adorable. At just 2½ years old, she reminds us that true beauty isn’t about appearances—it’s about kindness, connection, and love.
