The Artists' Salon The Artists’ Salón reintroduces the classical salon format in a highly relevant space: The Home!

A salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often follow Horac's definition of the aims of poetry, "either to please or to educate" ("aut delectare aut prodesse est"). Salons are commonly associated with French literary and philosophical movements of the 17th and 18th centuries.

You may or may not know that one of our founding members, Joshua BlueGreen Cripps, passed away in 2022. A local non-profit is having this gala event on February 25th, 2023, to fundraise to establish a music scholarship for music students in his name. We hope to see you there! Please share widely.

Santa Rosa Symphony to give free children's concert to fire evacuees!

Bring the kids for a fun afternoon of music and laughter with animal-themed music from their favorite movies and stories. Enjoy the Instrument Petting Zoo before and the photo booth either before or after "Creature Features." Children are invited to dress up as their favorite animal, real or imagined or simply try out their Halloween costume early. All of this fun is FREE for CHILDREN 12 and under. Sonoma County children need a little more music and laughter after the ordeal our county has just been through. In addition, ALL FAMILIES that have lost their homes to the horrific fires can enjoy the concert for FREE as well.

Spread the word and bring your friends and neighbors. Love is stronger than smoke and music is a healing balm.
