In case you missed it my sister Sara Acors and I are offering a series of FREE art workshops, “Art at the Library”, at the Peru Free Library - Peru, NY this spring! 🌸💚🖌️✂️

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts.

Well, this was a fun surprise! Back in 2022 reached out to us to do an interview for their magazine - and the article was just published. Although we’ve been taking a break, this article is a nice snapshot of all we’ve accomplished over the past 3 years. What a wild ride! Thank you again SO MUCH to everyone who has supported our wild and crazy ideas. We’ve absolutely loved bringing more art to our community.

Do you miss our zine workshops? Megan is teaching a Digital Zines workshop at Strand Center for the Arts next Wednesday! 🤩🖥️✂️🖊️

Zines, zines, and more zines! 📔

Our very own Megan Charland will be teaching this awesome digital publishing workshop on Dec. 6 at 5pm 📆

In this 3hr workshop students will learn to make their own small circulation, self-published zines (short for fanzine or magazine) utilizing Adobe InDesign CC 🖥️

Students will walk away with copies of each other's zines to start (or grow!) their own zine collection. 📕📗📘📙

Teaching Artist (& Zinester!) Megan Charland has been creating zines for over 20 years and has amassed a diverse zine collection she will be sharing with students during the class for both historical context and inspiration. Megan started teaching her zine workshops in Downtown Plattsburgh in 2020 at The Link Arts Center and is excited to bring these workshops to The Strand! 👩🏼‍🏫

We are really excited to announce our BIGGEST MARKET YET this Month on July, 30th from 10-2pm at Heyworth Mason Park.

We will have 55 local talented makers, growers and food trucks this month including live music by Jeff Rendinaro and Skip Smithson from Zip City Blues.

And we are so excited and grateful to have the very talented Link Arts Center back as our kid's tent!
