Perrysburg Sculpture Walk Arts Education Fund Supports Student America 250 Public Art Project
Join us tonight as the City of Perrysburg recognizes three talented Penta Career Center Art & Design students whose artwork was selected for the America 250 Signal Box Project.
Funded through the Perrysburg Sculpture Walk Arts Education Fund, this project demonstrates how public art can create meaningful educational opportunities for local students. The Arts Education Fund is supported through the 10% commission generated from sculpture sales, with those proceeds reinvested into community-based arts and educational initiatives.
As part of their senior capstone experience, Xen Neff, Macy Davidson, and Daniel Carey created designs celebrating the history and heritage of Perrysburg, Ohio, and America. Their artwork has now been transformed into large-scale wraps on three traffic signal boxes throughout the city.
The students and their instructor, Steve Lark, will be recognized during the Perrysburg City Council Meeting tonight, June 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Thank you to the City of Perrysburg for partnering on this project and providing students with the opportunity to see their work displayed in a public setting where it can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
Please join us in congratulating these talented young artists on their accomplishment and in celebrating the power of arts education in our community.
