Happy Snail Mail Sunday to you!

Are you ready for Father’s Day next Sunday? We’ve got you covered with some cards for all the dads in your life, whether you’re saying Happy Father’s Day or just saying thank you / thanks / thx, I love you!

For no special occasion necessary, and it’s easy to get started:
Step 1: Pick out a pretty card.
Step 2: Write a little message inside.
Step 3. Mail/Deliver to a friend/family.

Stop in to stock up on cards to send greetings for every occasion… including the simple pen pal check-in, but you can make a blank card perfect for any occasion!
Plus: FREE STAMP with purchase of any card on Sundays!

It was so fun to see folks checking out the artwork of ARTFUL PERRY: June First Friday Opening at Mainframe Studios! In case you missed it, there is still plenty of time to venture down to Des Moines during regular open hours - through July - to see what from Perry galleries has popped up there, among the many other exhibits and artist studio walls!

It’s a day for dancing in the rain and making our own sunshine and rainbows!

Thank you for supporting Iowa Artists with your purchases at Mary Rose Collective! I used to just think about the excitement on the otherside of the mailbox, but just the other day I realized that there are actually FIVE happy dances that can happen when shopping here…
1️⃣ YOU find the PERFECT gift while shopping!
2️⃣ YOUR GIFTEE loves the unique and thoughtful gift you picked out for them!
3️⃣ The VOLUNTEER - whoever is helping at the shop that day - an artist themselves, maybe Jane, Courtney, Robin, Sharon, or Lynsi as they wrap up your purchase with tissue paper and maybe even a bow, perhaps excited to have helped you, offering a tidbit about the artist, the shop, or Perry, making them feel like their time was well spent keeping the doors open that day!
4️⃣ The SHOP OWNER while writing a consignment check is also resting easier, knowing utilities can be paid next month!
5️⃣ The MAKER opening their mail and thinking about buying more supplies to keep on creating!

Here’s your friendly reminder that you can send a greeting card any day, with no special occasion, just for a little pick me up.… like a sweet little cyanotype print!

Each one of these cyanotype prints by Heidi Segner are one-of-a-kind which make them even more special as mini art prints!

For those interested in learning this technique, we do have a class with Maggie but it is SOLD OUT! Let us know if you would like to see another one scheduled though!

Wow! What a night! First Friday at Mainframe was amazing, as per usual, but especially wonderful with the opening of “Artful Perry” featuring artwork from the three galleries in Perry!

I still can’t get over how much my life has changed over the years because of my dear friend Mary Rose and her nudges along the way. I wouldn’t even be in Perry if it weren’t for her, let alone now owning the gallery she started 20 years ago! Thank you, Mary, for your friendship and mentorship!

To all our friends and friends of the shop: In case you missed First Friday, don’t worry! There is still plenty of time to stop down to Mainframe Studios during regular hours, now through July 28th, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm!
Plus: Closing Reception TBA so keep an eye out!
More photos coming soon, too!

In the meantime, the shop is still open with regular hours and lots of wonderful things inside! With the downtown street construction, come to Warford St from 3rd instead of 2nd St!

Officially ready for the opening of “Artful Perry” tomorrow at Mainframe Studios! We finished the final touches last night - the visionary Betsy and make-it-happen Lynsi, with guest appearance vinyl-sticky-extraordinaire Andrea - together we pulled it all together and we can’t wait for you to see it! We love Perry and we are so excited to share our artful community with you at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines in June & July… and hopefully next you’ll join us in Perry!
