High Strange Ceramics

High Strange Ceramics Wheel-thrown pottery with a touch of mystery—functional art for everyday ritual and wonder.
(1)

High Strange Ceramics is the work of [Your Name], a ceramic artist based in Perkinston, MS. With an eye for both function and story, each piece is thoughtfully crafted on the wheel and finished by hand. My work leans into the “high strange”—the unexpected details, deep colors, and organic textures that make ceramics more than just clay, but living vessels for daily ritual. From mugs and bowls to sculptural forms, every piece is designed to be held, used, and loved.

Baba Yaga Dice Tower, anyone?

This is another piece in progress for the **7th Annual Faery Court Ball in Biloxi**, where we'll be selling this and plenty more strange little things from High Strange Ceramics.

A little technology for the pottery studio. ✨

My husband designed and 3D printed a custom pottery stamp for High Strange Ceramics, and this is it coming to life layer by layer.

Once it’s cleaned up and tested, I’ll be using it to mark new pieces before they head off into the world.

From a cone of clay to the beginnings of a jar in 45 seconds. ✨

There’s still a lot of work ahead—trimming, drying, firing, glazing, and firing again—but this is where it starts.

I’m building up new work for the **7th Annual Faery Court Ball in Biloxi**, where you’ll be able to find this jar (assuming the kiln gods approve) and plenty more strange little things from High Strange Ceramics.

Strange things have been coming out of the studio lately. 🖤

These new sculptural mugs will be coming with us to the 7th Annual Faery Court Ball in Biloxi.

If your morning coffee could use a little more death, magic, and questionable anatomy, come find High Strange Ceramics at the Ball. ✨

The kiln has spoken. ✨

After all the making, glazing, waiting, and wondering, three full shelves of new work are finally out of the kiln.

These strange and magical pieces will be coming with me to the 7th Annual Fantasy Ball: Court of Anubis and the Undead in Biloxi this September. I’ll be there with a table full of handmade ceramics for fae folk, wandering adventurers, collectors of curiosities, and anyone who prefers their pottery a little unusual.

Here’s your first look at what emerged from the fire.

A little glimpse of what's waiting for its final trip through the kiln. ✨️

These pieces have been glazed and are now ready for the glaze firing, when all those quiet, chalky surfaces will melt, deepen and transform into their final colors.

Many of them will be coming with me to the 7th Annual Faery Court Ball in Biloxi, where I'll be set up with a collection of strange, magical, and folklore-inspired ceramics.

I can't wait to see how they emerge from the kiln - and to share them with everyone at the ball. 🧚‍♀️

I could watch this all day and at the end of that day I would have some extremely clean berries.
