Cimarron Breeze Concerts Concert series featuring amazing songwriters and musicians held in the Old Church in Perkins, OK Ya'll come on now, ya hear?

Red Dirt singer-songwriter and local girl, Monica Taylor Johnson, hosts concerts at the beautifully renovated Methodist Church located at the Oklahoma Territorial Plaza in Perkins, OK. Some of the country's finest performers, songwriters, musicians have played the Old Church Center, including John Fullbright, Jimmy Lafave, Parker Millsap, The Cherokee Maidens & Sycamore Swing, Joel Rafael & Don Co

noscenti, Fred Eaglesmith, Sam Baker and many more. Series and special concerts are available for $25 in advance or $30 at the door while the Cimarron Valley Songwriter Showcases are 'house concert style' with a suggested donation of $10-15. Many of the shows feature an old fashioned potluck dinner before and folks come from all over the north central part of Oklahoma to attend these shows. The Oklahoma Territorial Plaza features Pistol Pete's original home and many other historic buildings from around Perkins and Payne County. The birthplace of Red Dirt music is just a 10 miles north in Stillwater, OK, too!

I’m just thrilled to pieces to have this giant in the world of music driving in from Nashville to play this show for us in Perkins!!

The night before- Friday, June 26- he is playing a show for my husband and myself in Tahlequah, OK at our beautiful Fite family home land on the Illinois River. It is a fundraiser for a nonprofit called Rise Up! who go into villages in Ethiopia and other African communities to build schools, dig water wells, and help the children and families there.

These humble and hardworking folks MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
