💥 Superpower Spotlight: Blade Whisperers

From first skate lessons and public skating sessions to hockey games, figure skating performances, and special events, the Owens Ice Center Team helps create experiences that bring our community together. Behind every smooth glide across the ice is a dedicated team working hard to ensure the rink is safe, welcoming, and ready for every skater who walks through the doors.

Being Blade Whisperers is about more than creating great ice. It's about making every visit memorable. Whether they're preparing the rink, supporting programs, welcoming guests, or serving up snacks and smiles at The Edge snack shop, this team works together to create an experience that keeps people coming back. Their attention to detail, friendly service, and passion for recreation help make Owens Ice Center a place where confidence grows, friendships are built, and lasting memories are made.

The Power of Parks comes from the people behind them. Throughout National Parks and Recreation Month, we're celebrating the incredible teams who make the Peoria Park District a place our community loves.

Join us for our next Talk About It Tuesday for an exclusive first look at the exciting improvements being planned for Owens Ice Center beginning in 2028.
Here's a preview of what's being considered:
