This is the first completed painting this year. Swipe to see the photo it is based on. I took it on the last day of my recent trip to the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. It rained heavily during our stay but on the last day we finally had a break in the rain. So we went to this one beach we visited once before. The roads on the island were pretty treacherous with steep inclines but after the heavy rains there was debris everywhere. But we managed to get there. It was absolutely worth it. The sun broke through the clouds, the waves were big but the water was still beautiful.
The painting is oil on canvas panel 11x14". DM if you are interested.

This painting of a golden is now framed and available. I usually prefer plain wooden frames but I think this shabby chic frame suits this painting well. What do you think, comment 👍 or 👎.
Every painting for me a story. In this piece I wanted to show how light can transform a scene and effect our mood. Warm colors of sunset have been linked to feeling of happyness and optimism. They also brings calm.
DM me if you want to purchase this piece for your own sunset therapy.
Oil on canvas panel 12×16". Price $250

Читайте👇 The painting I am most proud of. It was inspired by a beautiful sunset on Florida Gulf Coast. A warm golden glow envelopes everything. The sea oats are standing tall above sand dunes and waving in the light breeze. Nothing tells me I am on the Gulf Coast quite like this sea grass. With the sun low above the horizon it cast long shadows. The sky and the Gulf are calm. You feel peaceful.
This painting won a 3d place in juried art competition by Light Space & Time Online Gallery and an Honorable mention in the competition by Colors of Humanity Art Gallery.

It has been a year since I posted an introduction. My name is Olga Jones, I am a seascape artist.. As a child I attended an art school in Russia where I grew up, but after school I did not paint for a long time. I picked up brushes again 6 years ago and don't want to stop painting ever. But never say never life sometimes gets in the way. I left Russia when I was 21 and since then life has taken me to live in different countries. Nowadays my life is split between the USA and Thailand. I have a small business that I manage unrelated to art so at this time I am not a full time artist.
I like different styles of art but most of all realistic paintings. In addition to painting, I love spending time at the beach and snorkeling. I have loved the ocean/sea/water since I was a kid growing up on the Black Sea coast. I am also a long time yoga practitioner, I completed a yoga teacher course many years ago but never taught because I discovered that I have stage fright, I do not feel comfortable speaking in public, I do not like being in front of a camera. So every time I have to make a reel on I G I cringe inside.I am working to overcome this.
I have a sweet tooth. My favorites are ice cream and cheese cake.

P.S. Thank you to for the first 2 photos here and thank you for making me comfortable during the fotoshoot. Swipe to see some of my recent work and the last one is my very first wave painting I did when I started painting that I think I never shared here.

Ocean waves are not just beautiful to look at. Storms release healthy negative ions into the air that have healthty impact on our bodies, help reduce stress and boost energy, bring the feeling of happiness. While painted waves don't have the same effect they can still remind us of happy time we spent at a beach. I do wish sometimes that paintings could convey smells too🙂 Would not that be wonderful?
This painting is now dry.and available for puchase. Please, swipe to see a detail shot and how it looks in an intetior.

Читайте👇 While I am still working on my Emerald Coast series in my mind I am planning my next series. I think my next series will be neutrals and greys just like this painting. This piece portrays the powerful essence of the ocean. Waves that crash against rocks or shorelines and tear apart ships and structures are an unstoppable force of nature.
This painting is now available. Please, dm me if interested. 16×24" (40×60cm) oil on canvas
