Our first show was an absolute success! We performed Saturday night at the Ashmore to a nearly packed house! We are so grateful for our incredibly talented cast and their families for all the time we put in before we made it to the stage; Ms. Ursula at Emerald Coast Dance Conservatory for our rehearsal space and so much more; our on stage band: Rory Swanson, David Mitchell & Stephen Variames who really tied the whole show together; our stage manager, Drew McCreary of Rising Tide Scenery, and all of you who showed up to support us and be entertained! Stay tuned to see what we’re going to do next!

Meet our cast and crew!

Shelby Weedon & Adrian Evangelista: Ensemble

Shelby began taking ballet classes at 3 and never stopped. She’s trained in classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern, and is currently a member of SWERVE dance company, a local adult modern dance company. She recently graduated with honors with her Master’s in Psychology with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis, and is the clinical director of an ABA based clinic working with children on the autism spectrum, with the goal of becoming a certified behavior analyst.

Adrian began his dance career 5 years ago, taking evening classes for hip hop and contemporary. He was able to join jams, and continued to grow his dance experience until he was volunteering for various dance events, including the locally known Thriller Halloween event. He built connections with studios, and was able to work as an assistant and eventually taught privates. In 2019, he joined SWERVE, and expanded his repertoire to include modern and jazz, as well as build his technical foundation.

The two met in SWERVE, and are now happily engaged as of August. In their free time, Adrian enjoys drawing and watching movies while Shelby enjoys writing and sleeping through said movies.

Meet our cast and crew!

Katy & Zach Woods: Ensemble dancers

Katy is a pediatric ICU nurse, and has been taking dance classes since she was 3 years old. Her first love is ballet, but she also enjoys modern and contemporary. Her experience includes being a senior member of Five Flags Classical Ballet Company, and attending summer intensives with the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, Denmark. Katy is currently a member of SWERVE, a modern dance company.

Zach Woods is a Mobile native, and a graduate of the University of Mobile. He began his dancing career as a student of the Eastern Shore Dance Academy. While there he also attended several master classes with the Alabama Ballet in Birmingham, and with Walt Disney World in Orlando. He also performs with The Bay Shore Ballet, in Fairhope AL, dancing several lead roles in classics such as The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty. He is also a full time Account Manager for Booster, a company that specializes in Elementary school Fundraising.

Zach and Katy love traveling, renovating their old house, and rescuing any animal that needs a home. They have been married just over one year, and are looking forward to their first performance together!

Sarah Wyrosdick: The Fairy

Sarah is beginning a new career at Navy Federal, but holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science and has enjoyed jobs involving food, beverage and holistic health. Being born to musician parents, music has always been a part of her life, and she continues to share her love for it with her husband, who is also a musician. Sarah will be performing as a solo violinist in “It’s a Wonderful Night.”

Her favorite person to spend time with is her husband, and they are active outdoors people who enjoy biking, hiking, gardening, and visiting local craft breweries.
