AITA for taking a major financial decision without the input of my fiacée?

Before I was even born, my mom found out that my biological father was cheating on her. They started on the divorce proceedings right before she discovered she was pregnant with me. When she told him the news, he claimed it couldn't be true since he was infertile.

He accused her of cheating and demanded a paternity test to prove his bizarre claims. She was too emotionally exhausted to fight, so she asked him to sign away his parental rights instead. He was so sure I wasn't his kid that he happily agreed, and she moved in with my grandparents.

When I turned fourteen, I asked her about him and demanded to hear the full story. I was an immature teenager at the time, so I threatened to run away unless she contacted him. I thought she was just being petty and assumed he'd step up if he knew the truth.

She reached out, but he responded by sending a really hurtful letter to both of us. He called her terrible names that still make my blood boil just thinking about them. He accused her of trying to bleed him dry of his money, which made me realize I didn't need him.

Fast forward to about eight months ago, when he apparently had a near-death experience. He tried to contact my mom to apologize for what he did, but she quickly refused his attempts. He somehow managed to get a picture of me, and it turns out I'm practically his clone.

He contacted me directly, claiming he'd been wrong and immature back then. He said he wanted to get to know the only kid he had in this life, but I refused his advances. He then started trying to bribe me with money to force an interaction.

He offered to pay for my student loans, buy me a house, and even invited me on expensive trips. I refused everything because I didn't want his money or a relationship with him. I told my fiancee everything, and she was supportive at first before changing

AITA For Refusing To Help My Ex Discipline Our Daughter?

AITA for refusing to help my ex discipline our daughter after a major theft attempt? I have a thirteen-year-old daughter with my former wife, and our post-divorce relationship used to be decent. Everything changed the day she started dating her current husband and became very hostile toward me.

I can't explain what else could be the reason for her refusing to follow the custody agreement. Because of my job schedule at the time, she was awarded primary custody of our girl. However, I was supposed to get every other weekend and summers while we alternated major holidays.

I had to take my ex to court twice to enforce my legal visitation rights. I was just grateful that my former mother-in-law wouldn't allow her to feed my kid lies. I tried to be forgiving, but eventually, she pushed me too far with her petty games.

During the recent global health crisis, my ex and her new husband lost their respective jobs. They were in serious danger of losing their house, so she took me to court again. She asked for more child support, which I wasn't going to fight, but she was mad she didn't get more.

After the decree, I started getting suspicious because we have equal access to our girl's college fund. I decided to add special security protections and alert notifications to the bank account just in case. I'm the primary account holder, and my ex was listed merely as an authorized signer.

Unfortunately, my worst suspicions were quickly confirmed when I received an urgent call from the bank. There was an unauthorized attempt to take ten thousand dollars out of the college savings account. It was my ex-wife trying to drain the funds, and I was just furious about it.

I was so angry that I drove to her place and loudly cursed her out on the porch. I'd thought I was in the clear because I assumed our teenager was out of the house. I didn't realize when she and her grandmother quietly pulled up to the driveway behind

AITA for ruining a pregnancy announcement by telling the woman she may have taken the wrong test?

My husband and I recently invited eight of our friends over for lunch, and they asked if they could bring along a new couple named Doug and Sasha. We didn't know them at all, but since our friends vouched for them, we figured it wouldn't hurt to say sure. It was supposed to be a regular afternoon of food and chatting.

At one point during the lunch, Sasha needed to use the restroom, so I directed her to the master bathroom because the guest one was in use. I was in the kitchen helping my husband finish prepping the food when Sasha suddenly walked out of the master bedroom bawling her eyes out. She was holding something in her hand, and I really thought she'd hurt herself or something bad had happened.

Instead of asking for a band-aid, she said something to Doug that made him drop straight to his knees, start crying, and kiss her stomach. All our friends started screaming, jumping around, and crying right along with them. It was a wild scene, and finally, Sasha told us that she's pregnant.

Of course, my husband and I congratulated them both and handed over a little bag for her test when they asked for one. I won't lie, I thought it's pretty odd that she'd brought a pregnancy test to a stranger's house. I kept my mouth shut though, since it didn't seem like the time to ask questions.

Once everyone finally settled down to eat, Sasha casually mentioned she hoped I didn't mind that she used one of my pregnancy tests. She claimed she just saw them sitting there and felt the urge to take one right then. I was super confused, and I told her plainly that I don't actually own any pregnancy tests.

Sasha insisted that I did, claiming they're right there in my drawer. I asked if she meant the blue box hidden in the back of my drawer that's normally closed. When she realized I was calling out her snooping, she sheepishly mumbled that the box said

WIBTA if I tell my dad what his sister did years ago?

A bit of necessary background is needed to understand my current complicated family situation. My parents divorced when I was six years old, and they didn't part on good terms. They separated earlier when I was three because my dad emigrated to another country and he just didn't come back.

When my dad first moved, he stayed with his sister for quite a while. During that time, he gave my aunt money, letters, and special gifts to send to us. She didn't deliver any of them; she pocketed the cash, gave the gifts to others, and threw out the letters.

I know it sounds difficult to believe, but both of my parents are exceptionally stubborn. They're not prone to communicating effectively with each other or with anyone else. They just keep quiet to maintain the peace, and they let deep resentment grow until it's far too late.

Because of their ongoing silence, my mother believed my father willingly forfeited us. On the flip side, my dad thought we were ungrateful and uninterested in a relationship with him. This lack of honest communication created a huge, permanent rift between everyone involved in the situation.

That brings us to present days and my current stressful conflict. There has been a harsh misunderstanding with my dad, and I tore into him for creating nasty rumors about me. He once again said I'm the ungrateful one and that I've never cared about him.

Hearing those unfair accusations hit me hard, because they aren't true at all. To make matters worse, he brought up his sister as someone who has always cared for him. He claims she would never betray him, but I know she's the main reason for our estrangement.

I haven't mentioned the ugly truth to my dad, because it would destroy their sibling relationship. However, I'm at my breaking point and I don't want to be the nice one anymore. I don't want to let my aunt get away with her deceit once again.

You might wonder how I found out about my aunt's terrible

AITA for how I reacted after my stepfather demanded I change my wedding?

I'm 23 years old and getting married in a few months. My fiancé and I chose a Christmas-themed wedding because it's my favorite holiday and I've dreamed of this since I was a little girl. It's not even on Christmas Day — it's just a few days after. I don't think that's a big deal at all.

My stepfather Rick has been in my life for eight years. He's never been the warmest person, but I didn't expect him to take such a strong stance against my wedding date. He thinks it's disrespectful to "make the Lord's birthday about yourself," which honestly felt like a stretch from the start.

It all blew up at my mom's birthday dinner. After we ate, Rick pulled me aside to bring up the wedding — at my mother's birthday party. I don't understand why he thought that was the right time or place to have that conversation.

He didn't ask, he demanded. He told me I had to change the date because it was "too close to Christmas." I reminded him that's kind of the whole point of a Christmas-themed wedding. He didn't appreciate that response at all.

Things escalated fast. He started screaming at me, calling me selfish and unreasonable. I won't pretend I kept my cool — I yelled back. I told him if he didn't like it, he wouldn't have to come. Then I left with my fiancé.

I can't stop replaying that moment. I know it sounds harsh to tell a family member they're not invited, but he was the one screaming at me. I wasn't going to stand there and take it. He's never shown much interest in being a supportive figure, so I don't feel I owe him endless patience.

My mom called me afterward. She wasn't asking me to change the date — she made that clear. But she did ask me to let Rick come, for her sake. I love my mom and I don't want to make her day harder. That's the part I'm genuinely struggling with.

AITA for telling my wife it’s gross to feed our child b**ast milk that isn’t hers?

I’ve been debating whether to share this online because it feels somewhat private, and my wife and I aren't talking much. This happened a few weeks ago, but she took our newborn baby and moved out immediately. We only speak about once a week now, so I'm feeling deeply conflicted.

My wife and I lost our first child four years ago to SIDS. She never understood how that terrible thing could happen and blamed it on the baby formula she was using. She tried breastfeeding back then, but she couldn't produce enough milk for him.

Our little boy had a sensitive stomach, so we tried nearly every baby formula brand before finding one that worked. Unfortunately, SIDS took him from us when he was only 22 days old. My wife is still in therapy dealing with the profound grief from that loss.

We've now welcomed our second child, who is also a beautiful baby boy. My wife always said she wasn't ready for another kid whenever I cautiously asked her about expanding our family. It goes without saying that this pregnancy wasn't planned, but we accepted the situation.

During the pregnancy, my wife maintained a strict diet, eating only organic foods and raw veggies. She avoided all processed items, trying to ensure a healthy environment. She also researched what would help her produce milk and ate those specific things.

Since our son's birth, she won't let anybody come to our house. She makes me shower and wash up before I even get to see my son. She doesn't want outside germs near the baby, and she's become obsessive with shielding him.

One day, I went to make him a bottle and couldn't find the formula anywhere. It was the first time I'd be making a bottle for him. When I asked her, she directed me to small bags of milk in the freezer.

She explained the thawing process, mentioning she got rid of our microwave so I had to heat water on the stove. I asked her why she didn't just breastfeed him

AITA for not sponsoring my son's father's "apology" for how he acted after my son came out?

My son came out as gay when he was 14, and I wasn't prepared for how badly his father would react. His dad screamed awful things at him during a phone call my son let me overhear — calling him a slur and telling him he was "obligated" to have biological children. I don't know the full extent of what was said, but I was scared enough that when my son didn't want to see his father anymore, I supported that decision without question.

His dad tried to fight the custody arrangement in court, but the judge didn't side with him. My son blocked him everywhere — social media, WhatsApp, all of it. Now his father can't reach him directly, so he's been routing everything through me, and I'm honestly not sure how I feel about being put in that position.

He told me he's sorry and that he "wants things to go back to how they were." I thought that was a step forward, so I told him what my son needed: a real apology, written out. He sent back a long message — but it wasn't an apology. It was mostly about how much he's suffering and how much he misses his son. There wasn't a single word of genuine regret for what he did.

I let my son read it, and I think that was a mistake. It hurt him more than it helped. He still won't talk to his dad or agree to see him. I don't blame him — he's 14 and he's still processing a moment where his father said something cruel and unforgivable.

Now, with everything going on in the world right now, his dad has been messaging me constantly. He's telling me how much he's suffering, how desperate he is to see his son. I do believe he misses him. I'm not sure I believe he's truly sorry yet — he's too proud to apologize to a child, and that pride is the whole problem.

He's started pressuring me to arrange a physical meeting and

AITA for telling my father that I don't care how nice his new girlfriend is, she'll never be welcome at my home?

My father is in his sixties and he just can't keep a girlfriend for any reasonable length of time. My mom divorced him when I was a child, and he hasn't shown interest in settling down. Today, his relationships don't last much longer than a year.

I'm married with two young kids, a son and a daughter. I don't want them getting attached to a new step-grandmother every few months, so I laid down ground rules. My father wasn't allowed to introduce partners to them until six months into the relationship.

For most of my kids' lives, we didn't have problems with that arrangement. Then came his girlfriend from a couple of years ago, who unfortunately turned out to be a true nightmare. My kids only met her once, but it was enough to consider her unsafe.

Because of that whole affair, I changed the rule to require a one-year wait before he introduces anyone. If he tried to do so before that, she'd never be allowed to come over. He protested at first, but I held my ground and he agreed.

He was with another woman for nine months last year, and my children never met her. Now, my father has been with his newest girlfriend for six months. I haven't met her yet, because she lives an hour away.

She is apparently quite fond of children, and she's been asking him to meet his grandkids. He's tried to convince me to make an exception for her, but I always remind him of my rules. My daughter is turning four this week, and we threw her a birthday party.

It took place at an event space our building has, and my father showed up an hour late with his new girlfriend. I approached them to ask what he was doing there with her. He said his girlfriend was excited to meet my kids.

Because they've been together for half a year, he didn't think it would be a big deal. I told them the girlfriend had to leave before my kids saw

AITA for asking my son and his STBW to pay to spend their honeymoon in my winter cabin?

My late wife and I invested in a small winter cabin years ago as a getaway for our family. It was a place we cherished, and I'm the owner now after her sad passing. The financial burden of the upkeep falls on my shoulders, which isn't cheap.

My son is twenty-two years old and is getting married to his soon-to-be wife in just a month. I've told him a million times that getting married so soon wasn't a good idea. He refused to take my advice and had no regard for my opinion on the situation.

They have no money for a destination honeymoon since they were barely able to plan the wedding itself. He came to me and asked if they could spend their honeymoon in my winter cabin. I agreed to let them use it, but under the firm condition that they pay me.

He acted shocked and tried to argue that it's his mom's cabin too. I pointed out how I own it now and that I pay out of my own pocket to keep it maintained. He got upset and accused me of being materialistic and selfish towards them.

He claimed I'd already been unhelpful with the wedding and this was just another example of my bad behavior. I told him I did the same thing with his aunt when she wanted to use the place. I explained that it wasn't personal, but I can't just give out free vacations.

He left with his fiancee in a huff and immediately told the rest of the family about our disagreement. Now I'm being berated left and right by relatives who think I should just let him go for free. They're telling me to let him use the cabin and shaming me for asking for money.

I don't think it's fair that they expect me to subsidize their choices when I explicitly advised against this early marriage. They chose to rush into this commitment without having the proper finances to support their plans. I shouldn't be forced to cover the costs

am I wrong for my kids that they don’t have to call my ex’s new girlfriend “mommy”?

My ex-husband Justin and I recently finalized our difficult and drawn-out divorce proceedings. Almost immediately after we separated, he started seeing a woman named Liz who works at the same company as him. I've always had strong suspicions that he cheated with her while we were still married, though I don't possess any concrete proof.

Justin and I share two wonderful young children together, specifically a four-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son. I currently hold primary custody of them due to Justin's past criminal record, which complicates our dynamic significantly. He's legally allowed to have them on weekends and during certain approved holidays throughout the entire calendar year.

I'll freely admit I harbor negative feelings toward Justin, but I'd never try to actively come between him and his kids. I strongly believe a father should be present in his children's lives whenever it is safe and possible. Liz, on the other hand, just isn't someone I consider to be an appropriate stepmom material for my precious kids.

The other week, I drove over to pick the kids up from Justin's apartment after their designated weekend stay. As we were gathering their belongings and preparing for leaving, I noticed my children casually telling Liz "bye bye mommy" as they walked out the front door. I was immediately ticked off by this because I'm their actual mom, not Liz.

I simply couldn't believe my kids would spontaneously start calling her that specific name on their own. They've only known her for a couple of short weeks, so it felt highly unnatural to me. I had a strong hunch that she'd explicitly told them to address her with that specific maternal title.

I texted Justin later that evening to ask about how the kids generally talk to Liz when they're staying with him. After some intense and remarkably frustrating prodding on my part, he finally decided to admit the ugly truth about the situation. He confessed that he and Liz had intentionally asked both of the kids to start calling Liz "mommy".

His primary justification was
